… and wakes up happy.
And so does Mommy!
It’s amazing what a difference it makes to have an infant who sleeps 8-10 hours without waking. She started on the day she turned 11 weeks and hasn’t looked back except for a few nights when she had a stuffy nose and couldn’t breathe well. I can’t say as much for her brothers, who went through boot camp at a much later stage of babyhood in order to be convinced that waking up the household for a nightly nip really wasn’t a necessity anymore. (Two months, yes. Ten months, not so much!)
Between her great sleeping habits, adorable smiles, yummy baby smell and overall sunny disposition, she’s made it pretty easy to add a third little Kaiserman to the mix.
Speaking of Gracie sleeping, here’s a layout I finished yesterday of her doing just that. (In case you can’t read it, the entire title says “time stands still as I watch you sleep.”)
On a different note, I’ve decided that this passage from 1 Thessalonians 4 is going to be my “theme verse” of sorts. In the first part of this chapter, Paul is instructing the Thessalonian church how to continue growing and excelling in their walk with Christ.
Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life
and attend to your own business
and work with your hands.
I don’t know about you, but I appreciate being reminded that God keeps it fairly simple. I’ve already started to spend some time praying and reflecting on what each of these three things really looks like when fleshed out in our lives. I’m sure I’ll be sharing what I learn along the way.
